We are thrilled to announce an opening for the position of Marine Officer at XT Ships Management S.R.L.

Position: Marine Officer
Location: Constanta, Romania

Are you passionate about the maritime industry and ready to make a difference in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Marine Officer to join our Marine Department.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the Senior Manager to plan annual visits of Senior Managers aboard vessels.
- Collaborate with Marine Superintendents to organize annual visits of external visitors aboard vessels.
- Maintain and update off-hire calculations, providing monthly, quarterly, and annual summaries.
- Monitor daily trans-ocean passages, ensuring vessels provide evidence of preparedness. Alerts Marine Superintendents in case weather conditions en route exceed the company pre-set values and alerts Masters to follow the reporting procedures.
- Conduct port screenings per company protocols, notifying Marine Superintendents if vessels are scheduled to call at medium- or high-risk ports.
- Review fleet vessels' work and rest hours, flagging any non-conformities to Marine Superintendents.
- Approve security teams in alignment with company procedures, coordinating with CSO/ACSO and obtaining flag authorizations for armed guard carriage when necessary.
- Conduct Ship-to-Ship (STS) vessel reviews, consulting Marine Superintendents if deviations from requirements occur.
- Oversee damage report processes, ensuring accurate documentation, processing, and closure of claims for reimbursement from third parties.
- Assist in monitoring the Marine Department's yearly leave plan, ensuring compliance with company leave policies, including holiday scheduling fairness.
- Prepare questionnaires during office hours in close collaboration with Superintendents.
- Manage medical chest inventory and approve replenishment requests.
- Serve as the focal point for distributing notifications and alerts about endemic areas and travel-related infectious diseases.
- Monitor and address new requirements from conventions, P&I clubs, or industry forums, developing and implementing plans to ensure fleet compliance, and escalating urgent matters as needed.

What We're Looking For:
- Marine background with at least 1 year of experience as Officer of the Watch on seagoing vessels (STCW Reg. II/1 Unlimited).
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle demanding workloads under pressure.
